　　President Xi Jinping has emphasized that "Youth are the future of a nation, and also the future of the world." He has repeatedly encouraged young people to actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and contribute their youthful efforts to building a community with a shared future for mankind. The ideals of youth forge the future of a country; the responsibilities they shoulder carry the hopes of an era.

　　在天津，有这样一只青年实践队，他们用脚步丈量“一带一路”的广阔征程，将个人成长融入国家对外开放大局，以实际行动回应习近平总书记的殷切嘱托，为“十五五”时期高质量共建“一带一路”积蓄青春力量。天津大学“砼心筑梦 丝路领航”实践队从狮城新加坡的滨海堤坝到千岛之国印尼的雅万高铁工地，从马来西亚马六甲海峡的历史潮声到阿联酋、沙特的沙漠新城，再到越南生机勃勃的工业园区，一路调研、一路思考、一路践行，用亲身实践走出了一条属于新时代青年的丝路求学之路、担当之路。

　　In Tianjin, a youth practice team traces the vast landscape of the Belt and Road Initiative. They integrate personal growth into China's broader opening-up agenda and respond to President Xi's earnest expectations with concrete actions. The Tianjin University "Concrete Dreams, Silk Road Navigators" Practice Team has traveled from Singapore's Marina Barrage to the construction site of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia ; from the historic tides of the Strait of Malacca to the emerging desert cities of the UAE and Saudi Arabia; and onward to the vibrant industrial parks of Vietnam. Along the journey, they have researched, reflected, and acted, carving out a path of learning and responsibility for the youth of a new era.

　　万里调研征途，从来不是坦途。语言多元、习俗各异是实践队面临的第一道关卡。为打破这一壁垒，队员们提前数月精进当地语言、研读文化手册，随身携带翻译工具，用真诚与耐心搭建起跨文化沟通的桥梁，让“中国声音”在异国他乡清晰传递。

　　The thousand-mile research journey has never been easy. Diverse languages and cultural disparties were the first major challenges they faced. To overcome such barrier, team members spent months studying local languages, reading cultural guides, and carrying translation tools. With sincerity and patience, they built bridges for  cross-cultural communication, ensuring that the "voice of China" could be clearly heard in foreign lands.

　　信息获取与调研落地的难题，更考验着实践队的专业能力。“一带一路”沿线各国市场环境差异显著，当地行业的真实困境、发展需求难以直接获取，部分国家政策变动频繁，行程中企业走访对接屡屡受阻。面对困境，实践队依托天津大学在国际工程领域的专业积淀，提前对接天津市建筑业协会、海外中资企业与当地高校，建立多方协作机制，逐步打通调研堵点，确保每一次走访、每一场座谈都扎实有效。

　　Information access and on-site research posed even greater tests of their professional competence. Market conditions vary widely across BRI partner countries, making it diffcult to obtain the real industry challenges and development needs. In some regions, frequent policy changes disrupted scheduled visits and interviews. In response, the team leveraged Tianjin University's strong foundation in international engineering, coordinating in advance with the Tianjin Construction Industry Association, Chinese enterprises overseas, and local universities. Through multi-party collaboration, they gradually broke through research bottlenecks and ensured that every visit and discussion was solid and productive.

　　带着问题出发、瞄准痛点深耕，实践队始终以服务“一带一路”高质量发展，破解沿线国家发展困境为导向，开展精准化、专业化调研。在新加坡、印尼、马来西亚等东南亚国家，作为“一带一路”海上丝绸之路的核心区域，当地基础设施建设需求旺盛，但面临标准互认难、属地化管理弱、绿色施工挑战大等突出问题，实践队深入雅万高铁、槟城填海造岛等项目现场，调研中企在海外项目中遭遇的地质复杂、技术标准对接、当地劳工管理等难题，收集绿色建造和智能施工的一线案例，对标国际先进工程管理经验，探索中企海外合规经营、风险防控的优化路径，同时重点调研中企本土人才培养模式，为区域基建可持续发展提供参考，用青年智慧为共建“一带一路”贡献解决方案。

　　Guided by problems and key challenges, the team conducted targeted and professional research to advance high-quality BRI development and address the development difficulties of partner countries. As core regions along the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, Southeast Asian nations such as Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia are in high demand for infrastructure construction, yet challenges in areas such as standard mutual recognition, localized management, and green construction remain prominent. The team visited landmark project including the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway and the Penang land reclamation project, investigating the difficulties Chinese enterprises encounter overseas-complex geological conditions, technical standard coordination, and local labor management. They collected fieldwork cases of green and smart construction, compared them with international best practices, and explored optimized pathways for compliance, risk prevention and sustainable talent development, contributing youthful wisdom to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

　　 跨越12260公里的调研征程，遍布亚洲多国的实践足迹，不仅让天大学子收获了一手资料、实现了专业成长，更让他们深刻领悟到“一带一路”倡议的时代价值与青年使命。

　　Their 12,260-kilometer research journey across Asia has not only provided firsthand data and driven professional growth,but also deepened their insight into the contemporary significance of the BRI's and the mission entrusted to youth.

　　“一路行走，我们在一座座地标工程前感受中国建造的实力与温度。”实践队队长刘元瑞感慨道，“从基础设施‘硬联通’到规则标准‘软联通’，从产业合作到人文交流，从传统基建到绿色、数字丝路建设，新时代‘一带一路’为我们提供了施展才华、实现价值的广阔舞台。我们能做的，就是把一线见闻转化为务实建议，把个人成长融入‘一带一路’建设的时代浪潮。”

　　"Along the way, we felt both the strength and warmth of Chinese engineering in every landmark project," said the team leader Liu Yuanrui. "From hard connectivity in infrastructure construction to soft connectivity in rules and standards, from industrial cooperation to people-to-people exchanges, from traditional construction to green and digital Silk Road development, the BRI offers us a vast stage to fulfill our aspirations and achieve our full potential. What we can do is to transform field research insights into practical proposals and integrate our personal growth into the great tide of the Belt and Road Initiative."

　　“我看到了‘一带一路’倡议为沿线国家带来的基础设施改善、就业机会增加和产业水平提升。这条共同发展之路拉近了青年与青年的心。未来，我要继续当好两国青年之间的桥梁，用青春的声音讲好 ‘一带一路’互利共赢的故事，让更多青年携手同行，在共同发展中收获成长、共享繁荣。”实践队队员、越南留学生阮兰分享了自己的感悟。

　　"I witnessed how the BRI has upgrated infrastructure, increased employment, and enhanced industrial capacity in partner countries," shared Nguyen Lan, a Vietnamese  international student on the team. "This path of shared development brings young people closer together. In the future, I hope to continue serving as a bridge between young people of the two countries. With the voice of youth, I want to tell the story of mutual benefit under the BRI so that more young people can grow and prosper together."

　　Great paths are never walked alone; collective efforts lead to far-reaching journey. The Silk Road stretches for thousands of miles; it is the youth who will take the helm. The young generation of China will surely remember President Xi's instructions, strengthen their ideals, shoulder their responsibilities, and integrate their personal pursuits into the cause of the Party and the nation and the great practice of high-quality BRI cooperation.
